Located just 5 mins away from Hotel Adya Langkawi, Kuah Night Market is open every Wednesdays and Saturdays. Locally known as pasar madam, it is a lively affair with local vendors setting up makeshift stalls along a stretch of road selling all kinds of local items from inexpensive clothes, fresh produce, accessories, paintings, DVDs to many other knick-knacks. Guests are able to take a nice leisure walk from the hotel to the market as it only 1.7km away.

Jetty Ferry Kuah
Located about 10 minutes away from Kuah Town, Jetty Ferry Kuah is Langkawi’s main ferry point (or terminal) from where the ferries/boats leave and arrive. Its entrance is through a shopping complex. Tourists are able to travel to Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah, Penang and Satun from here.

Situated about 12 minutes away from Kuah Town, Dataran Lang (commonly known as Eagle Square) is one of Langkawi’s best known manmade attractions, a large sculpture of an eagle ready to take flight. Eagle Square has beautiful miniature fountains, terraces and bridges, a great place for tourists to take perfect holiday photos. Tourists are also able to watch the ferries ply across the harbour from here.

Langkawi Wildlife Park
Located in Kilim area and only 10 minutes drive from Kuah Town, the Langkawi Wildlife Park covers an area of 5.5 acres of land area and has created an ambience of a tropical rainforest. There are over 150 different species of animals and birds from different parts of the world including South East Asia, Africa and Australia to name a few. It is a fully covered wildlife park and the first such park in Asia. Tourists are also able to close interactions with the birds and animals here.

Langkawi Sky Bridge
Located about 35 minutes away from Kuah Town, Langkawi Sky Bridge is a curved suspended bridge that hangs about 700m above sea level supported by a single pylon in the middle. The bridge is located at the peak of Mt. Mat Cincang and tourists would need to take the Cable Car ride from Oriental Village in Pantai Kok area, go up to the top station and then access the bridge through a stairway.

Underwater World Langkawi
Underwater World Langkawi is one of the island’s best-known attractions. Located at the southern end of Pantai Cenang (28 minutes drive from Kuah Town), it is Malaysia’s largest aquarium. This huge white-washed structure houses more than 200 different species of marine and freshwater fishes including harbour seals, rockhopper penguins, sharks, giant rays and the enormous Amazonian arapaima – the biggest freshwater fish in the world.

Tanjung Rhu Beach
Located just 30 minutes away from Kuah Town, Tanjung Rhu Beach is a secluded beach away from the crowd that offers breathtaking views of the emerald blue water and islands of Langkawi. It is one of the tourists’ most favourite beaches when it comes to scenic settings. Tanjung Rhu Beach is a public beach (although there is a private section that belongs to the Tanjung Rhu Resort Hotel), accessible 24 hours and has no entry fee.

Telaga Tujuh Waterfall
Situated about 40 minutes away from Kuah Town, Telaga Tujuh Waterfall is billed as Lankawi island’s most wonderful natural attraction. Set on Lankawi’s western headlands, its name means Seven Wells Waterfall, referring to a series of seven connected natural pools fed by seven separate waterfalls in Mt. Mat Cincang. Locals say that the Telaga Tujuh Waterfall is home to fairies, but really it is probably the gorgeous flora in the area that makes the place seem magical. It is great place for tourists to enjoy the cool air and relax in nature, also a great place for photo taking!
